Coaches and staff from Liverpool Football Club Foundation’s Premier League Kicks and Onside programmes were joined by Everton Football Club’s Everton in the Community team for a day of training delivered by the KnifeSavers campaign team. Dozens of club staff from the Blue and Red sides of the city came together for a day to act as one team for the good of Merseyside’s communities. Both clubs committed to providing a number of bleeding control packs to be placed with their community teams around the areas of Anfield, Goodison and surrounding areas. The day was concluded with a friendly “Derby” competition where members from both clubs’ community teams demonstrated their newly acquired knowledge and skills in bleeding control in a simulated scenario. Both teams performed brilliantly, and the contest was judged to be 1 – 1 draw.
